The Rajans scored their first tournament win, with a fine team effort, when they trounced Dharmasoka by an innings and 13 runs at Lake View.
A sparkling 106 off 138 balls by Raveen Tharindu was the highlight of the first day’s play. A total of 190 was never going to be enough on the fast outfield.

Deshan Gunasinghe paid the Rajans back in the same coin by stroking a delightful 93 with two sixes and eleven fours. There were also two useful knocks from Nivantha Herath (30) and skipper Tarusha Weragoda (32).

Leggie Harshajith Roshan had a five-for, while Hasindu Vidarshana scalped three.

The Sokians collapsed badly in the second innings against the spin of Ruchira Pupulewatte, Venuka Galahitiya and Asmitha Rajapakse.
