Commercial Credit wins CMA tourney
View(s):Commercial Credit won the annual cricket encounter of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA) Students Guild which took place at Shalika Ground in Park Road, Narahenpita on September 8.
The Guest of Honour Mr. Basheer Ismail, Vice President CMA presenting the Founder President Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala trophy to Commercial Credit and Finance PLC
Altogether 14 teams took part and as the team representing Commercial Credit and Finance emerged winners to snatch the Founder President Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala Trophy. The runner-up was Red Wolves, a team representing the Students Guild. The interest into this event among the business community was overwhelming as champions Commercial Credit and Finance become one of the six teams to compete at the tournament.
The competition was organised with the aim of providing the members of the Students Guild and the CMA students an opportunity to engage in sports activities and to encourage interaction and networking among each other. Ruchira Perera, a Council Member of CMA graced the occasion as the chief guest while the guest of honour was Basheer Ismail, the Vice President of CMA.
