DS smashes 2014
View(s):The Badminton Development Foundation of the Old Boys’ Association of D.S. Senanayake College will be organising DS Smashes 2014. This will an Age Group Open Schools Badminton Championship in aid of the development of the Badminton in the school and with the intention of promoting the sport at national level.
This tourney is scheduled to be held from October 17 to 26 daily at the D.S. Senanayake College Indoor Sports Complex and the organisers are expecting more than 1200 participants from all over the country including the North and East areas. An independent panel of umpires from the Sri Lanka badminton Association will be appointed as judges will enable to maintain a high standard of badminton.
The DS Smashes 2013 was a highly successful event with over 1000 entries from 115 leading schools in Sri Lanka and was commended as one of the best tournaments organised by any organisation.
