Rimzan, Farshad advance to quarters

Two pre-quarter finals are being worked everyday and in the matches that were played yesterday saw Mohamed Rimzan of Army and T.H.M. Farshad of MICH advancing to the quarter finals with easy 4-1 wins over M.M. Jiffrey (Galle) and Hairulla Afualdeen (Embassy PP Kandy).
The two matches scheduled to be played are between defending champion Susantha Boteju (YMCA) vs Murughesh Prathap (Castle Cue Club Kandy) and M.Z.A. Zulfi (RPP) vs M. Shafraz (MICH). All the matches will be played from 4.00 p.m. onwards.
