Lanka Plate carrom final today
Ishan Kannangara and Pramod Ashendra will meet Charith Nilanka and Kaveen Nimneth in the finals of the Men’s Doubles of the Lanka Plate Carrom Championships at 1 p.m. today. This will take place at the Carrom Headquarters at Maharagama. 
In the first semi-final match Ishan Kannangara and Pramod Ashendra beat M.A.M. Azhar and J.H.M. Nisthar 25-13, 25-10 while in the second semi-final match Charith Nilanka and Kaveen Nimneth beat Hasitha Anuruddha and Chanaka Jeevan 25-9, 25-21.
Earlier in the quarter-final matches played yesterday Ishan Kannangara and Pramod Ashendra beat C.S. Vithanage and Nuwan Indika 25-21 while W.M. Muffees and Joseph Dilan were beaten by M.A.M. Azhar partnered by J.H.M. Nisthar 25-20 while in the other two quarter-finals Charith Nilanka with Kaveen Nimneth had an easy passage in defeating Dhanuka Thavindra and J.H. Priyadharshana 25-10 and Hasitha Anuruddha and Chanaka Jeevan booked a berth in the semi-finals by defeating A.M.M. Ameer and K.G.S.J. Prasad 25-16.Women’s singles and doubles are scheduled to be worked-off today in the morning and afternoon respectively.
