Iran continued their winning spree in the ongoing AFC under 14 Girls South and Central Regional Soccer Tournament when they beat Bhutan by six goals to nil at the City Football ground on Friday.
In their opening fixture on the first day, Iran beat Tajikistan 6-0.
Once again it was mid field Fatemeh Ghassemi who stood out for the Iranians with six goals. She has now booted seven goals in the two matches her country has played. Golnoosh Khosravi, also playing in the mid field position got Iran moving with the first goal and then came Fatemeh Ghasemi with three goals and this was followed by Maedeh Davaji and Marzieh Hayati with a goal each to seal a 6-0 win for Iran.
In the other fixtures played at Baddegana, India trounced Tajikistan 7-1 while Sri Lanka suffered their second defeat losing 1-0 to Nepal.
