Taiwan President honours Janaprith

International Commissioner of Sri Lanka Scouts and first Sri Lankan member of the World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM) Asia Pacific Regional Scout Committee, Janaprith Fernando, attorney-at-law was awarded the “Green Jade Lion Award” by President of the Republic of China, Taiwan Ma Yin-jeou at a ceremony held at the President’s Office in Taipei.

This award was presented to Janaprith for his dedicated service to scouting in the Asia Pacific Region and World scouting. This was awarded to scout leaders of 14 countries. At present Janaprith is a member of the Human Rights Task Force and Global Support Team of WOSM which has 162 member countries with a membership of over 36 million scouts.
