The batik bridal creations of Lassana Batik, the brainchild of Geetha Bodaragama are featured in the ‘Brides of Sri Lanka’ coffee table book launched by the Bride and Groom magazine last week.

Geetha who studied fashion design and clothing technology at Moratuwa University has developed her own style using traditional Lankan arts. “Batik bridal is a unique concept. Most of my customers come to me with some idea in their minds and we discuss the colours etc to create a special look the bride is happy with,” she says.
