“Vikurthi” on the plight of children

“Vikurthi”, one of the popular plays produced by veteran playwright and actress Somalatha Subasinghe will be staged at 3.30 pm and 6.45 pm on Sunday, November 10 at the Namel Malini Punchi Theater, Borella.

Revolving around the tragic plight faced by children due to the rat race in education, the play features an experienced cast comprising Kaushalya Fernando, Prasannajith Abeysooriya, Namal Jayasinghe, Geetha Alahakoon, Sulochana Weerasinghe, Migara Kanchana, Vikarama Senevirathne, Sanjaya Hettiarachchi, Nimmi Priyadarshani, Dilip Kumara, Dilum Bhuddika, Harsha Thennakoon together with trained new actors of the Kotte Ranga Pitaya. 

“Vikurthi” is a semi-musical rich with music composed by M.R. Chulasinghe and its lighting effects is handled by CHandana Aluthge. Organised by Jude Srimal, tickets for the shows are available at the Namel Malini Punchi Theater, Borella.
