Sri Lanka’s IT Education heading in the right direction

“Today, the industry of Information Technology is amongst the top 4 highest grossing industries in the world. According to the stats from an American survey, it shows that they have given special attention towards the social recognition of the job, income,professional relationships, job nature etc. Looking at those facts, we can understand that there is a huge demand for IT professionals in its industry and the demand grows higher every day. There are a few reasons for this. The continuous reproduction of jobs and new innovations to fill the demands of the IT industry. We need to provide professionals who’re highly qualified to follow with new innovations. Unfortunately the country is lacking of professionals for this demand. A main reason being the lack of 
professionalism that can be found by the less practical knowledge developed by the individual (student). This is a very sensitive area that you need to master to become a true professional. As an example, an aerospace engineer that programmes an air shuttle should be absolutely accurate in every aspect of his job which makes it a highly sensitive profession. That is the reason why this industry requires fully-qualified professionals with both theoretical and practical knowledge.”
*How does PIBT plan on fulfilling this requirement?
