Vehicle importers launch Motor Guide Directory

The Sri Lanka Motor Guide Directory 2013 containing details of companies with direct or indirect links to automobile industry has been launched for the first time.

Picture shows Association President Indika Sampath Merenchige handing over the first copy of the directory to Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa.

This directory was published by the Vehicle Importers Association of Lanka for the benefit of all stakeholders in the vehicle business and vehicle users, said Association President Indika Sampath Merenchige.

He noted that it will be an annual publication with updated details of automobile and related companies.

The Motor Guide Directory was prepared following the format of the Sri Lanka Telecom Directory providing necessary details of companies beneficial for vehicle users, he revealed. It contains details of vehicle importers, bankers, finance leasing and insurance companies, valuation, lubricants, communication partners, related motor accessories, fuel and related companies, service stations and alignment centres, tires, tubes and batteries, paints, repair and garages, rent a car, hiring and cab services, shipping, clearing and forwarding, motor spare parts and accessories, etc.
