“Nihanda Sankalpana”, a solo art exhibition by Nilu Wijesingha will be declared open on March 14 at 5.30 p.m. by the Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Sunil Jayantha Nawarathne, at Alliance Française de Colombo.

Born in Hingurakgoda, Nilu says she has inherited much of her artistic talents from her father and remembers with gratitude how she was inspired by veteran artist Raja Segar. Murals of rural life and Indian cultural aspects adorn her “Nihanda Sankalpana”. Her creations are done in oils, water colours and other media. Her exhibition continues from March 15 to 17 at the Alliance.
