A 26-year-old maid returned to the country from Saudi Arabia with broken legs after she allegedly slipped off the second floor of her employer’s home, officials said.

They said Sinniah Sulochini – a native of Batticaloa – was treated for some three months at a Hospital in that oil rich kingdom before returning home on Friday morning.The victim who has been confined to a wheel chair was taken away from the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) by ambulance straight to the Batticaloa Hospital.

The victim told our correspondent at the BIA that she had been ill treated by her employer and forced to work long hours but did not elaborate on the circumstances that led to her fall.
