University of Ballarat (Australia) - Unique and Affordable educational opportunities to Sri Lankan students
Admission for August intake is now in progress. Meet us for open day on July 10 between 9.30 AM to 4 PM

Sri Lanka today stands at the threshold of a huge educational upsurge. It is a national pride to turn Sri Lanka into an International education hub by making it a centre of excellence. The entry of the prestigious University of Ballarat into Sri Lanka is to help the country realize this laudable goal.

The University of Ballarat, third oldest educational institution (Estd.1870) in Australia with over 25,000 students and with a five Star rating for teaching quality, has come up with a novel and attractive initiative to help students in Sri Lanka to directly enrol with the University and continue with their graduate and postgraduate programmes while staying in the country. As a result of this initiative Sri Lankan students need not, any more, look for accredited and affiliated Colleges to pursue foreign University degrees.

The courses will be directly moderated by Ballarat University and the student will be a direct student of this prestigious University from day one. The courses offered by the University at its study centre in Colombo starts with a foundation course for O/L students, right up to postgraduate studies.

This campus will endeavour to fulfil the long standing requirement of the Sri Lankan student for offering International Education at an affordable cost, and within their easy reach. The student will be enrolled directly as University of Ballarat (UB) students. The Academics in UBSL study centre will be moderated directly by University of Ballarat. The student will be studying the same course as their counterparts in Australia but at less than one third of the actual cost. Just for the sake of comparison the courses which are available for Aus$ 15000 to 22000 in Australia will be available to the students in Sri Lanka at less than Aus$ 4500, practically a saving of more than LKR 1.2 Million in tuition cost itself per year. Just imagine your decision to opt for the Degree course at UoB local centre can save you a whooping sum of LKR 3.6 Millions over the period of three years.

Mr.Gregory Simmons, Director, Centre for University Partnerships University of Ballarat

You be the judge, why should you pay so much extra money? Remember with most of the foreign Governments separating the student education from Permanent Residency, it is better for the students to first acquire experience. University of Ballarat offers a seamless opportunity to start the Australian studies at Foundation level and continue right up to Master level and continue to be the University student right throughout. The University of Ballarat Study centre offers a unique opportunity to see your children study foreign University courses directly under your supervision in the safe home environment and with Sri Lankan cultural values.

Why send your loved ones away when the right education at a very affordable cost is available right at your doorstep?
University of Ballarat is planning to provide specialist career services, including career coaching that is delivered by a qualified careers counsellor. These services are free to all enrolled UBSL students and include a Programme on Strategic Career Management that is exclusive to UBSL. Additional Career Assist sessions are designed to help our students to maximize their employability outcomes. Sessions are scheduled regularly throughout each of the three semesters. We will offer the students actual training and internships in the actual workplace environment to make them job ready.

If your loved one can be gainfully employed within the country or anywhere internationally after the University of Ballarat qualification (recognized internationally) obtained within Sri Lanka then why worry about the career? Be rest assured your loved one will definitely get a good job.
