The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) recently conducted a seminar for commerce stream students in the Eastern Province under its "Sisu Nena" seminar series.

The seminar enlightened students on a number of Sri Lanka Accounting Standards that are applicable for the G C E A/L examination and discussed the A/L Accounting Model Paper prepared by the Institute. Well qualified lecturers, Mr. I L A Salam and Mr. K Nagendrakumar conducted the session which was highly applauded by the participating students.

The seminar also articulated the opportunities for career development in the field of accounting. Mr. Nagendrakumar during his lecture also defined the Chartered Accountancy qualification as a 'Key' to a world of unlimited opportunities. He concluded his lecture by inviting students to join the ICASL and pursue a clear career path as a Chartered Accountant. The photograph shows Mr. K Nagendrakumar addressing the audience.
