Pathetic plight of a Woman

Directed by Eranga Senarathne’s latest teledrama ‘Ahasin Watuna Gahaniyak’ (A Woman fallen from the sky) is now being telecast every day at 7.30 belt on Rupavahini channel.

Produced by J. L. R. Mohan Peiris who had produced a number of other teledramas, the story revolves around a young nurse who is trapped in a dilemma between her life and her responsibility.

Sulochana is a nurse married to a journalist, Dharmawardana. The couple live happily until one day she is contacted by her former boy friend Sandun Bandara, a police officer. Sandun requests Sulochana to look after his sick mother. Although Sulochana turns down this request, she is compelled to agree due to Dr. Priyankara, the doctor in charge of her ward.

This decision leads to many dramatic sequences during which Sulochana undergoes a number of difficult and sorrowful situations.

The cast in ‘Ahasin Watuna Gahaniyake’ includes Cyril Dharmawardana, Geetha Kanthi Jayakody, Asoka Soysa, Gnananga Gunawardena, Palitha Silva, Nirdha Uyanhewa, Hashani Karaliyadda and Melani Asoka.
