British Council Colombo brings you the first ever summer school

British Council Colombo is proud to announce the first-ever Summer School in Sri Lanka for a learning experience your child will love.

The summer school is designed for children between the ages of 8 - 12, with different classes for different age groups. Beginning in August 2009, sessions run daily for two weeks at the Royal College Union Building. At the end of the summer school, children will sit for the internationally recognised Cambridge Young Learner Examination and Certificate.

By building on your child's school curriculum, summer school sessions will improve their communication skills and also give them a head start for the school year ahead. All sessions are conducted by British Council teachers, who are experts in English language teaching and create enjoyable and motivating lessons. By using interactive DVDs to help children review and practice their English skills, a fun learning environment is created.

There's more fun at the end of the summer school, when your child will take part in an end-of-term play with their new friends. The performance will be open to friends and family and will help build children's self confidence and give them a chance to practise their new English skills and impress you with their talents.

All this and more, offered by the British Council under one roof, for two weeks with fifty hours of fun learning.
