Achievers awarded (Quality Training Partnership) QTP
 

Achievers Lanka Business School was awarded Quality Training Partner ( QTP) by CIMA - UK with in a period of three years from inception. ACHIEVERS Lanka Business School established in 2006 is a premier centre of learning CIMA education. ACHIEVERS has a vision "To be the premier choice in global CIMA education".

Since its inception, ACHIEVERS has been providing rigorous, relevant and rewarding academic education, while serving as a catalyst for economic prosperity by producing quality professionals with amazing consistency. ACHIEVERS is an exclusive CIMA tuition provider focused on preparing students to be competent business professionals.

The quality culture at ACHIEVERS is unique as it facilitates continuous assessment of quality throughout the session. Some of the key features of ACHIEVERS quality assessment program that differentiates it's delivery are;.

Initiative 01 - At ACHIEVERS a quality circle comprising of two lecturers has been appointed to overlook quality standards at each level of CIMA. This has helped ACHIEVERS to reinforce quality at each level facilitating a process of continuous improvement.

Initiative 02 - All lecturers are continuously assessed by obtaining formal and informal feedback from students. Lecturers' meeting is held every three months to discuss feedback, exchange information and review progress of course during session. This enables management to assess how the quality of the course might be improved to add more value to our students. There is always some value addition taking place in every session.

Initiative 03 - ACHIEVERS mock examinations are unique in that they are prepared by independent examiners that facilitate independent evaluation of students. Thus, the quality of such mock examinations is very high. ACHIEVERS has committed a lot of resources for personalized marking and giving feedback to each student despite the large number of students that sit these exams.

Each mock examination simulates real exam conditions and is supervised. At ACHIEVERS it is not just a mock exam; it is indeed a quality mock exam with a lot of time being devoted by the independent examiner for the preparation of questions. Students are advised as to what action they should take based on the marks they receive for the mock exam.

Initiative 04 - A student representatives in each class meet the course coordinator for each level at least once per session to discuss matters relating to the progress of the course for each subject in that level. This enables the course coordinator to effect timely improvements that adds great value to ACHIEVERS' course delivery.

Initiative 05 - When it comes to TOP CIMA Case study analysis, ACHIEVERS pioneered the 'Board Room' concept, by obtaining the services of an industry expert for each Case, thereby giving an in-depth insight into the mechanics of the industry.

Pass rates
ACHIEVERS has endeavored to maintain high pass rates from inception. Further we have maintained consistency in pass rates in every session and across subjects. ACHIEVERS has identified that for success at any examination at any level a good revision programme is paramount. The large number of students who register for ACHIEVERS Revision is testimony to the quality of its Revision course..

CHIEVERS has produced price winners at every session since it's inception in 2005. The year 2008 was special since ACHIEVERS produced the highest number of price winners for Sri Lanka. ACHIEVERS has been fairly consistent in producing prize winners for subjects such as Integrated Management (IM), Financial Strategy (FS) and TOPCIMA. students often attribute their success to clearly indicates that the quality of ACHIEVERS revision

Growth of ACHIEVERS
The rapid growth of ACHIEVERS is largely due to the commitment and dedication of its professional lecture panel and the quality assurance initiatives discussed above. ACHIEVERS boasts on the fact that it's core panel of lecturers have a combined teaching experience spanning over half a century. This growth reflects in no uncertain terms the confidence that students have placed in ACHIEVERS.

Capacity Enhancement
The growth in numbers has necessitated the need for capacity expansion. In the second half of 2008, ACHIEVERS moved to a much larger, spacious building at 129, Dutugemunu Road, Kohuwala. At this new location all classrooms are equipped with projectors to facilitate PowerPoint presentations. Further enhancements are being done in order to provide a conducive environment for professional education.

Board of Directors
The Directors of ACHIEVERS comprise of Ravi Edirisinghe, Faris Ismail ,Jairaj Krishnakumar, , Senaka Kakiriwaragoda and Azad Hye. The getting together of five professionals representing different industries has helped immensely to instill a lot of professionalism and dynamism in the working practices of ACHIEVERS. Being the key lecturers and stakeholders of ACHIEVERS their commitment has helped to build ACHIEVERS to what it is now, a leading Business College exclusively providing CIMA education.

The future of ACHIEVERS
ACHIEVERS is looking to expand its trainingts in the future to include soft skills development such as communication, leadership and presentation skills. These skills, it is hoped, will make the students od ACHIEVERS more complete. These projects are aimed at creating a sustainable competitive advantage for ACHIEVERS students that will enable them to excel in all disciplines and face challenges with confidence. ACHIEVERS contribution to society would be to create a pool of high calibre achievers for the Corporate sector and to the students, a rich and rewarding career.

Achievers Scholarship Program
To celebrate in achieving the QTP status ACHIVERS plan to launch a mega scholarship program for certificate level students. This unique program will award scholarships based on merit for the students who have achieved outstanding results in GCE OL and AL examinations. The scholarships will be named after the prize winners who brought glory to the institute. The plan is to award 1,800 merit based scholarships over the next three years.
