What are the courses offered at MATRIX?
BCS Professional Examinations-BCS Professional examination is a world recognized professional qualification offered by British Computer Society in UK. This consists of three levels which further has eleven subjects and the final year Professional Project. Once you complete all three levels and the project your qualification will be equivalent to UK honors degree ( BSc honors in IT).

BCS VAP (value added pack full time program)- BCS VAP is a new product launched by the institution, which will enable the students to gain the practical exposure at its completion. When asked the Chairman about the new product, "the new BCS VAP which consists of six other programs for the students in additions to the BCS Certificate Level. These programs are namely Certificate in C programming, Hardware and Networking, Diploma in web designing, Certificate in C#.net programming and Programming in JAVA". Further he stated "the main purpose of this program is for the students to start a job in the field of IT while they are doing the next level i.e Diploma Level".

Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) of the UCSC (University of Colombo School of Computing) is another course where MATRIX is at the top positions. This is a very competitive degree and has very high scope and recognition." BIT is a program, which has an enormous demand in the IT market locally and overseas and as a result of modifying the entry qualification, BIT has become one of the most popular qualifications in Sri Lanka" added the chairman, who once again is one of the very few who has educated the students from the very first batch for BIT in Sri Lanka.

The UCSC now has introduced the FIT (Foundation in Information Technology) program with the intension of creating computer awareness together with skills in mathematics and English. This will allow the candidates to commence the BIT program without any entry qualification. MATRIX offers all six semesters of the BIT program and is among a very few institutes offering free text books for certain subjects. The Australian Computer Society (ACS) professional examination is another qualification offered by the ACS with collaboration with the CSSL (Computer Society of Sri Lanka), MATRIX offers the ACS professional examination and has been able to produce 35 world prize winners up to now. ACS qualification will enable candidates to gain highest credit points mainly in the migration process to Australia in the field of Information Communication Technology (ICT). MATRIX offers several programs in ICT other than the three main programs BCS, BIT and ACS. The other programs are Matrix Diploma in IT (MDip in IT), Matrix Certificate in IT (MCert), ICDL (International Computer Driving License), program in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI), and also over 20 other programs under one umbrella called MCTP (Matrix Corporate Training Programs). The organization is further partnered with East London College - UK and ICFAI University India (Sri Lankan division)
