Dr. Sally to talk on international trade issues

Renowned speaker on international trade and related areas, Dr Razeen Sally, who is currently on a visit to Sri Lanka, will deliver a lecture on 'Trade Issues - Emerging Protectionism and Responses in the US, China, and The European Union' at the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) Auditorium on March 18, 2009, at 6.00 pm. This is the eighth event in a series of public lectures organized by the PIM Alumni (PIMA). Dr. Wickrama Weerasooriya will be the moderator.

The Director of the PIM, Dr Uditha Liyanage said that PIMA's series of Public Seminars, address topical issues that are of immediate relevance to the Business Community and the public at large. Protectionism and its multiple manifestations are one such issue that has received a great deal of attention. I am glad we have an expert to address it. Dr Sally is currently the co-director of the Brussels based international economics think tank, European Centre for International Political Economy (ECIPE).

IIHE Open Night

Imperial Institute of Higher Education (IIHE) held an 'Open Night'- a BBQ at the "Lavinia Breez" beach, for prospective students for BSc. (Management and Computing Programms) and MBA to mingle with the staff & current students to share their insights and obtain first hand experiences of the respective programmes.
