TT junior c’ships on the road
 

Table tennis hit the court running in the New Year, with the All Island Junior Ranking TT Championships commencing at the St. Thomas’ College Sports Complex at Mount Lavinia yesterday.

The morning and afternoon sessions were devoted to the qualifying rounds. The tournament proper commenced last evening. Approximately 409 competitors in different categories are vying for honours at this event which will serve as a springboard with regard to how the juniors are ranked in all the rest of the tournaments to be conducted this year.

The competitors are split into different age group categories and one open category namely boys and girls under 10, 12, 15, 18 and the mixed doubles event. (HJ)
