ESOFT has paved the way for the many people that obtain the BCS Diploma in IT to make their way to the UK to study for the final year of the B.Sc (Hons) Degree in Computing. The Degree is offered by the University of Greenwich (UK), through their collaborative partner - The East London College.
The East London College has appointed ESOFT Computer Studies (Pvt) Ltd as an Accredited Partner thereby allowing us to pass on the benefits to our students as well as others.
Prerequisites : Students that have completed their BCS Diploma can apply. If you have completed your O/L or A/L exams, you can also contact us and we will show you the quickest path to gain entry into this programme thereby allowing you to gain a recognized British qualification in 2 - 3 years time with the definite possibility of further improvement.
This offer is not limited to students of ESOFT only. Students who have completed NCC IAD, Edexcel HND in Computing, NIBM HND, and other similar programmes can apply now itself for the February 2009 intake. The deadline for applications will be the 15th of December 2008 as the acceptance and visa application process may take a certain amount of time.
Students who have sat for their A/L and awaiting results, and students who are sitting for their O/L Exams in the coming weeks can also make use of this opportunity. These students can immediately join our BCS Certificate Level Classes and proceed to the Diploma Level thereafter making them eligible to enter into the B.Sc final year in 2010. This presents the opportunity of completing your degree in a period of two to three years.
The Process : ESOFT will be helping in the preparation of the required documents, and guiding the students in all aspects including the obtaining of conditional acceptance letters, university applications, unconditional offer letters, accommodation, travel arrangements, airport pickup, and many more aspects.
The Venue : East London College (ELC) is a highly respected centre for quality education and training that offers tuition for a range of professional and academic courses ranging from undergraduate to graduate level of study. The College was founded in 1995 and now has well established links with British Universities as well as professional bodies. East London College is fully accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC) and Quality International Study Abroad Network (QISAN). Furthermore, there are approximately 100 Sri Lankan students studying at ELC. Our students should therefore feel right at home.
Costing : The cost for the student for the final year of the Degree is approx 4995 sterling pounds including examination fees and text books, and it is payable in installments as well. Considering the current exchange rates this works out to approximately Rs. 850,000.
Further Opportunities : Students who complete the Degree will be receiving a 2 year work permit giving them the opportunity to earn a substantial income whilst in the UK. Students will also have the opportunity of continuing their studies in the form of post graduate degrees such as Masters.
