Lyceum win Inter-Lasallian Junior Cager Tournament

Lyceum International School, Nugegoda, emerged champions of the Inter-Lasallian Junior Basketball Tournament beating Colombo South International School by four points. The tournament that was worked off at the De La Salle College courts in Mutwal.

De La Salle College organized the tournament that was sponsored by Nestle Lanka Pvt. Ltd. under their brand name of Milo.

A total of 12 teams took part in the competition and six of those teams– De La Salle College ‘A’, De La Salle College, ‘B’, St. Benedict’s College, Kotahena, St. Xavier’s College, Manner, St. Anthony’s College, Wattala and St. Anthony’s BMV, Colombo, De Mazenod College, Kandana – were from schools run by De La Salle brothers while five other prominent basketball playing schools – St.

Joseph’s College, Colombo, Colombo South International, Lyceum International, Nugegoda, Mahanama College, Colombo and Loyala College, Negombo formed the 12 teams.
