‘Pitasakwala Kumaraya’: A plot on an alien prince

Sirimal Wijesinghe's maiden film ‘Pitasakwala Kumaraya’ Pancho Hathai' (PKPH) will be released on CEL circuit cinemas including Regal Colombo from July 24. Produced by Dushyantha Mahabaduge for Cinemaya International production, the film stars Sanath Gunathilake, Dilhani Ashokamala, Janaka Kumbukge, Nilanthi Wijesinghe, Suminda Sirisena, Isham Samsudeen and a number of child actors in the stellar cast.

The film revolves around seven children who are in an adventurous journey into a jungle. They come across an old bungalow which is in its decadent state. Out of curiosity the children enter it and meet a scientist who is studying about the aliens. He has kept a young girl locked up in his house and she is being used for his experiments.

The young group decides to rescue the girl but suddenly an alien who comes to the bungalow demand the right for the girl. He tries to take her to his world claiming her guardianship. According to him he is the father of the girl while the mother is a human. Will he be able to take the girl? And would the young group be able to rescue her?

PKPH has a number of songs for which voices are rendered by popular singers like Sunil Perera, Nirosha Virajani, Uresha Ravihari, Iraj Weeraratne, Jayasri, Mohan Dharshana, Stella Amadee Arachchi and Lesli Thomas.

Ajantha Ranasinghe, Kularatne Ariyawansa and Kelum Srimal have written the lyrics for which music direction is done by Rohana Weerasinghe, Navaratne Gamage, Mahesh Dehipitiya and Ajith Kumarasiri.
In the production crew cinematography by Prabath Roshan, editor Ravindra Guruge, art director Welegedara Ranasinghe, and costume designing by Pavithra Dissanayake and Iroshini Kalpage.
