Maliyadeva College, Prince of Wales College and St. John’s College, Jaffna recorded outright wins in the Under-19 Inter-School cricket matches concluded yesterday.

Maliyadeva coasted to convincing 10-wicket win over Isipathana at BRC ground, while Prince of Wales crushed Lumbini MV by an innings and 63 runs at the neighbouring Colts ground. St. John’s pulled off an innings and 109-run win over hometown rivals Jaffna College Vaddukoddai in Jaffna.

Other matches ended in first innings wins for St. Thomas’ Matara, St. Peter’s, St. Sebastian’s, St. Joseph Vaz and Dharmaraja colleges. Meanwhile
Royal College was bundled out for a paltry 83 runs by Trinity College, who ended the first day in a strong position on 243-5 at Asgiriya. This match will continue today.
