Colombo Uni, Chulabhorn Graduate Institute discuss scholarships
View(s):Post graduate scholarship opportunities for young academic staff was taken up for discussion when a delegation from the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute, Thailand, visited the University of Colombo this week.
The visiting delegation included Paisan Rupanichkij, Prof Piyajit Watcharasit, Prof Charnsak Thongsornkleeb, Prof Mayuree Fuanthong and Peeranan Booranasophone. They were accompanied by officials from the Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo.
The delegation met with Vice Chancellor Prof Indika Mahesh Karunathilake and Dr Iroja Caldera, Director of the International Office, to discuss opportunities for mutual collaboration.
Postgraduate scholarship opportunities for young academic staff members of the University of Colombo were discussed, particularly in the fields of biological sciences, chemical sciences, and environmental toxicology, the Colombo University said.
