This evolution coincides with the appointment of Chanie Rodrigo as a Partner, joining Managing Partner Rajitha Rodrigo to lead the newly reconstituted firm, W.R. Rodrigo & Partners, Chartered Accountants. The transition marks a significant milestone in the firm’s 40-year history, reflecting a strategic move to broaden technical leadership and reinforce governance frameworks in an increasingly complex regulatory environment, the company said in a media release.

The appointment of Chanie Rodrigo reinforces the firm’s technical capabilities in taxation. With over 15 years of experience in the Sri Lankan tax landscape, her professional background includes tenures at international audit firms, followed by senior group tax roles within the private sector. An Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ACA) and a Fellow of ACCA (UK), she also holds the Enrolled Agent (USA) designation and a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University.

Managing Partner Rajitha Rodrigo brings a wealth of international and local expertise to the partnership. As an ACA, ACMA (UK), and CGMA member, His career spans nearly a decade, including nearly a decade with an international audit firm in both Sri Lanka and Singapore.
