MSI for SLUDI by March
The National Institute for Smart Government (NISG) has requested more time to incorporate changes in the final document before the techno-commercial bidding after discussions with the five systems operators shortlisted for Sri Lanka Unique Digital ID who were in Colombo last November.
Top officials said the potential master systems integrators discussed the way forward and had a chance to gauge the landscape in the industry. The final agreement on the way forward, incorporating the ideas and decisions were sent by the NISG, but the Information Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) had wanted major amendments in the document.
“NISG had wanted more time to incorporate the amendments by ICTA. They are projecting that by March, a bidder will be onboarded,” an official told the Sunday Times Business on Wednesday.
Infosys Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd, Protean e-Gov Technologies Ltd, RailTel Corporation of India Ltd and Bharat Electronics Ltd have qualified as bidders after the pre-qualification round called by NISG to appoint a Master System Integrator (MSI) for development, Implementation and Maintenance of the Unique Digital Identity (UIDI) project in the country.
This was in response to the tender reference no. NISG/SLUDI 2025 issued by NISG in September.
