St Sebastian’s Church to host sing-along
View(s):St Sebastian’s Church, Rukmalgama will host a musical sing-along evening at the Galadari Hotel on January 10, 2026, as part of its fundraising drive for the renovation and expansion of the parish church.
The event, to be held at the Galadari’s main ballroom, is being organised in partnership with GOLD FM, the official media partner. It is expected to draw parishioners, former parish members, well-wishers and music lovers from across Colombo and its suburbs.
The evening’s entertainment will feature the popular band ‘The Kings’, with well-known musician Rukshan Perera appearing as the main guest entertainer.
Organisers say the programme is designed as a relaxed night of music and fellowship, encouraging audience participation through familiar songs and sing-along segments.
Funds raised through the event will support church development work and community initiatives benefiting more than 800 families in the Rukmalgama area.
To mark the occasion, a souvenir song book will be produced and distributed to all attendees. The publication will also offer advertising space for corporate partners and individuals, providing an opportunity for sponsors to gain visibility while contributing to the church’s development efforts.
Organisers have invited members of the public to take part in what they describe as an evening that combines entertainment with a meaningful social and community purpose.
