Sri Lanka’s Kaya Daluwatte made history, winning the country’s first-ever golf medal at the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Manama, Bahrain yesterday. Daluwatte, 16, claimed the bronze medal in the Girls’ Individual event, marking a proud moment for Sri Lankan golf on the Asian stage.

Daluwatte, who has been in outstanding form this year, entered the Asian Youth Games fresh from winning both the Sri Lanka Amateur Championship and the Ladies’ Stroke Play Championship for the second consecutive year. Her consistent performances and calm technical precision under pressure were key to her historic achievement.
