Kegalu Vidyalaya recorded a remarkable victory by an innings and 153 runs over Polgahawela Parakramabahu National School in an Under-13 Division II cricket encounter played at the Kegalu Vidyalaya ground. This marked their second consecutive win of the season.

The highlight of the match was the outstanding batting performance of the twin brothers, team captain Sansitha Saasinda Wijepala and vice-captain Sasmitha Saaminda Wijepala, who guided their team to a commanding total. The duo shared a 138-run stand for the second wicket off 130 balls. Vice-captain Sasmitha struck a brilliant century, scoring 100 runs off 88 deliveries with 14 fours and a six, while captain Sansitha contributed 90 runs off 90 balls, including 18 boundaries.

Kegalu Vidyalaya’s bowlers then dominated the game, dismissing Parakramabahu NS twice for low scores. Nethuka Shehansh Amarakon claimed five for eight runs in the first innings and two for 13 in the second, while Nethula Anuhas Wijekon took two wickets without conceding a run in the first innings and four for 13 in the second. Vice-captain Sasmitha also excelled with the ball, taking two for one run in the first innings and three wickets for no runs in the second. The team is coached by Mohamed Safran, with Lasantha Samarawira serving as master-in-charge. Thiran Indika Thirimanna functions as the Head Coach of Kegalu Vidyalaya.
