HSBC Premier Tournament next weekend at NEGC
HSBC will host its annual Premier Golf tournament for the 12th time at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC) on October 17 and 18, exclusively for the HSBC Premier golfers. The tournament is open to all HSBC Premier customers with a valid handicap.
The exclusive tournament will bring together over 150 golfers, competing for the prestigious HSBC Premier Challenge Trophy and make way for a once in a lifetime opportunity to The Open. The overall winner will get to experience the 154th Open at Royal Birkdale in England from July 16 to 19, 2026, with a fully sponsored hospitality package covering three nights and four days with a chance to experience the rich traditions of one of golf’s most iconic and oldest major.
The two-day tournament will feature an exclusive pre-tournament challenge – ‘Putting Parade under the stars’ on the 18th Tee, held on October 17. In keeping with tradition, the tournament will also offer a Hole In One prize (9th Hole) of Rs. 1 million Premier Rewards Points, courtesy of Mastercard.
