Brisbane International School conduct Prize Giving ceremony

Brisbane International School, celebrating its 27th anniversary, conducted the annual Prize Giving ceremony at the Sir John Kotalawela Defense University (KDU) auditorium. The award ceremony felicitated students’ achievements across the school, inclusive of the Primary and Secondary Sections, in the 2024-25 academic year.
Top achievers in sports during the period were also recognised including the First XI cricket team led by Vinura Karunaratne and their netball team, who both performed exceedingly well at top level competitions for schools.
The chief guest of the event was Major Gen. Lanka Amarapala (Rtd) while the guest of honour at the event was Dr. Mathi Kandiah, the Dean School of Science – BMS Campus, Colombo. Founders of the Australian
New Zealand Education Consultants, Dinithi Fernando Pathirana and Sidath Pathirana were also in attendance at the event alongside the Principal of Brisbane International School, Padma Jeewandara.
