Allround Adesh steers St. Sebastian’s to victory
Opener Adesh Almeida continued his batting form following his century on Friday, cracking an unbeaten 61 to steer St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa to a comfortable 8-wicket win over Richmond Galle in the Under 19 Inter-School Limited Overs Tournament encounter at Ambepussa yesterday. Richmond, batting first, was bowled out for a low score of 107 runs and following his two wickets, Adesh returned to help St. Sebastian’s race to the target in the 19th over.
Sri Sumangala College, Panadura overcame St. Aloysius College, Galle by 8 wickets at Karandeniya while Anuradhapura Central overcame P. de S. Kularatne MV, Ambalangoda by 5 wickets at Anuradhapura.
