American action thriller ‘One Battle After Another’ by Paul Thomas based on 1990 novel ‘Vineland’ by Thomas Pynchon is now being screened in cinemas.
Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor and debutant Chase Infiniti, the film follows an ex-revolutionary (DiCaprio), who has to rescue his daughter (Infiniti) from a corrupt military official (Penn).
Bob is a washed-up revolutionary who lives in a state of stoned paranoia, surviving off-grid with his spirited and self-reliant daughter, Willa. When his evil nemesis resurfaces and Willa goes missing, the former radical scrambles to find her as both father and daughter battle the consequences of their pasts.
Released on September 26, in Sri Lanka by Liberty Cinemas Ltd, ‘One Battle After Another’ is now being shown at SCOPE Cinema – Colombo City Centre, SCOPE Cinema – Havelock City Mall, Kandy City Centre, PVR Cinema, JP Cineplex, Ram Cinema, Lite Cinemas and Regal Cinemas.
Principal filming started in California on January 22, 2024, the film is written, produced, and directed by Anderson. (SRF)
