CMA Sri Lanka Silver Jubilee meeting
View(s):CMA Sri Lanka Silver Jubilee International Management Accounting Conference 2025 will be hosting a conference themed, ““Redefining Management Accounting: AI Innovation and Sustainable Value Creation” inaugural technical sessions will have the theme “Vision 2030: AI Impact on Policy, Stability and Growth.” The inaugural technical sessions will be held September 17 at Cinnamon Life, Colombo.
The Technical Session 1 on “Vision 2030: AI Impact on Policy, Stability and Growth” will feature the Keynote Address on “Reshaping Sri Lanka’s Economy: A Path to Fiscal Discipline and Debt Servicing by 2028”, by Duminda Hulangamuwa, Senior Advisor on Economic Affairs to the President, and Managing Partner, Ernst and Young Sri Lanka and Maldives.
Dr. Chandranath Amarasekara, Assistant Governor, Central Bank of Sri Lanka and former Alternate Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will speak on “Demystifying the IMF Programme: What it Means for Sri Lanka’s Future”.
Prof. Ho Yew Kee, Professor of Practice (Accounting ) Deputy Dean Chow Yei Chaing School of Graduate Studies, Associate Dean (Executve Programmes) College of Business City University of Hong Kong will speak on “Technology Adoption by the Accountancy Profession in Asean Countries”.
There will also be addresses by Ashfaq Tola, President, SAFA who is the Session Chairman; Mohammed Humayun Kabir, Vice President, SAFA as Co-Chairman and Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala, President, CMA Sri Lanka, the organisers said in a media release.
The Silver Jubilee Conference is a milestone event, fostering dialogue and knowledge sharing on how AI-driven innovation and sustainable practices can redefine the role of management accountants in driving national and regional progress.
