Shakthi shines for NCC with 11 scalps

Shevon Daniel made 52 for SSC against Tamil Union
Shakthi Udara shone with a match bag of 11 wickets in NCC’s first inning win over Navy SC in the SLC Under-23 Emerging Club 2-Day cricket tournament concluded at the NCC ground yesterday.
On the second day’s play Navy SC, in reply to NCC’s score of 263, resumed from their overnight score of 84-4 and went on to make 195. NCC, batting the second time, declared at 177-4, leaving Navy a target of 246 runs for victory.
Panadura SC, helped by half tons from Charya Paranavithana, Sasindu Malshan and Duranka Silva, made a formidable score of 361-8 before declaring against Negombo CC, who ended the first day on 26-1 at Katunayake. Tharindu Guruge ended with an impressive match figure of 8 for 46 for Bloomfield against Galle CC at Reid Avenue. The matches will be continued today.
