Gateway College was featured in the World Education Summit, the largest annual virtual gathering of the greatest minds in education, passionate teachers and brave leaders from every corner of the world. The summit featured over 100 sessions broadcasted over 4 days.

The World Education Summit (WES) is considered to be one of the best, biggest and costliest educational summits in the world that celebrates achievements and developments in education with provocative and stimulating debates on current and emerging challenges. The event provides access to over 100 hours of professional learning on demand for a full year, under 8 unique themes: World Headliners, Global Amphitheater, Paradigm Shifters, Brave Leaders, Passionate Practitioners, Cool Schools, Training Stage and Legacy Stage. This year’s summit featured over 400 speakers from around the world, including education giants such as Professor John Hattie, Professor Michael Fullan, Professor Sugata Mitra, Professor Viviane Robinson, Dr Bill Rogers and Sal Khan – the Founder and CEO of Khan Academy to name a few.

All teachers of Gateway Colleges were fortunate to have attended the World Education Summit for the past 3 years due to the substantial investments made by Gateway on professional development. This year too, the school enrolled all its 600 teachers to attend the summit, enabling them to gain valuable knowledge on the latest trends and research in education.

Chairman of Gateway making a presentation on behalf of Gateway College spoke about ‘Preparing for Life: The value of non-traditional curricula’.  His address featured Gateway’s innovative programmes that ensure holistic education through non-traditional curricula such as VSAK (Value, Skills, Attitude & Knowledge) – which focuses on soft skills and life skills, the ‘Homeroom’ and ‘Mindfulness’ sessions that are centered on student wellbeing and the ‘Founder’s Award’ that lets students discover their passion and set goals.
