Wrexham Glyndwr University offers full tuition scholarships for Sri Lankan students

Career prospects are excellent with the current shortage of nurses in the UK. Students have had a range of employment opportunities working as a staff nurse in NHS and the Private sector in both the acute and community settings.

Courses with full tuition fees scholarships: Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) Adult Nursing and Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) Mental Health Nursing.

Course dates: 13th March 2023 to February 2026.

Entry Requirements:

Successfully passed GCE ALs or London ALs, first attempt, and have achieved BBC or A*CD;

Science stream;

GCE OLs or London OLs and have achieved C passes Maths and English;

IELTS 6.0 with no band less than 5.5 in each sub-category (only IELTS accepted);

Two academic references; and

Personal statement.

 

*applicants are expected to achieve IELTS 6.5 upon completion of their course in 3-years and prior to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council;

Course details: Academic course, plus placement in Wales and employment opportunities in Wales after successful completion of degree. Accommodation included with the offering.

Course fee: GBP 14,500/year for three years [Health Education and Improvement Wales (HIEW) will fund the entirety of the tuition fees for all three years]. The scholarship is only available for candidates who accept packaged accommodation offer (GBP 7,000/year) to stay at the University’s campus accommodation for all three years of their studies.

Opportunity for elective practice learning placements in year 2 and year 3 of the programme.

Placements across the three years will take place in Wales within the Betsi Cadwaldr University Health Board for commissioned (funded places). The placements will be based in a wide variety of settings.

 

Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) and the university, have changed both the entry requirements and course dates for our nursing programmes. In addition, HEIW are offering very generous full tuition fees scholarships for students who agree to remain in Wales and work in the field for two years after completion of their studies.
