The SLUCSM organises a pilgrimage to St. Anne’s, Thalawila
View(s):The Sri Lanka University Catholic Students Movement took a group of 100 students from several state universities on a two-day pilgrimage to St. Anne’s Shrine at Thalawila.
The programme was conducted on 19th and 20th November. The students themselves organised the liturgy during their stay in Thalawila and this greatly contributed to their devotional participation.
Our students were spiritually prepared by the National Chaplain through spiritual exercises such as the holy Eucharist, the holy hour, group dynamics and Marian devotion.
We thank our benefactors and well-wishers for sponsoring the meals and assisting us with travel arrangements.
We also thank Rev. Fr. Lylie the Administrator of St Anne’s Shrine at Thalawila, for giving us lodging and providing all the necessary facilities to make the programme meaningful.
