New deadline for National ICT Championship Competition
View(s):The Education Ministry has extended the deadline for the 2022 National Level ICT Championship Competition to June 30.
The unique competition consists of a national level school software competition, young computer scientist competition and creative teacher and teacher trainee competition. All participants are required to register only through the online form available on the Education Ministry’s website.
It has been made compulsory through a circular for all schools having ICT as a subject to submit entries to the competition.
Students submitting for the national level school software competition need to have a basic knowledge in C/C++, C# or Java. For the young scientist competition applicants can submit creative outputs in Artificial Intelligence, internet of things, robotics, big data analytics, websites, Mobile App, desktop app, computer games. Teachers and teacher trainers too are encouraged to enter the creative teacher competition by submitting entries on AI, robotics, mobile app, websites, internet of things and desktop apps.
The competition is conducted by the ICT branch of the Education Ministry along with the Computer Society of Sri Lanka, Federation of Information Technology Industry and the University of Colombo’s School of Computing.
