Revised circular for grade one admissions
View(s):The Education Ministry has issued a revised circular for the admission of students to grade one classes in the state schools next year.
The Cabinet has approved the circular on the matter which was submitted by Education Minister Susil Premajayantha on Monday.
Applications and the relevant instructions including procedures to enroll students can be obtained from the ministry website (www.moe.gov.lk). Admissions need to be sent by July 16
The decision to revise the circular came after taking into consideration the facts submitted by various parties, including principals, the circular revision committee, The ministry investigation division, the Bribery and Corruption Investigation Commission, the Elections Commission, and also Court decisions.
The proposal calls to adhere to the provisions mentioned in the revised ministry circular for the admission of students to grade one classes from next year. (JC)
