Presidents College thrash Vipulananda MMV by 442 runs
President’s College Kotte thrashed Vipulananda MMV by a mammoth 442 runs in their under 17 division three tournament cricket match played at the President’s College grounds yesterday (3rd).
On being asked to bat first President’s College scored 485 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Chamith Deshapriya scored 113 runs off 93 balls with eighteen boundaries while Kushan Kolombage scored 67 off 26 delivries (eight boundaries and three sixes). Dilanka Jayasundera scored 65 runs off an equal number of balls (seven boundaries and a six) and together with Chamith he shared a 190 run partnership for the fourth wicket. R Sachindran captured three wickets.
Dilanka Jayasundera 4/25 and Kushan Kolombage 3/16 bowled the Vipulanda team out for 43 runs in 12.1 overs. R Sachindra was the only batsman to score double figures.
