Holy Cross Gampaha Div B shuttle kings
View(s):Holy Cross College Gampaha’s female shuttlers produced a majestic performance to win the Division ‘B’ Championship at the All-Island Schools Under-19 Badminton Team Championship, which took place at the Royal College Sports Complex in Colombo.
In the final, Holy Cross beat Sujatha Vidyalaya Matara by 3-1 to extend their dominance in badminton. The tournament was organised and conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools’ Badminton Association.
The victorious team posed for an official photograph with the officials Mahesha Ekanayake (Coach), Rev Sr. Mary Deepani (Principal) and Pushpa Pereram the teacher-in-charge. The girls who represented Holy Cross are in the back row (from left), Salini Dias, Tharushi Ishara, Pavani Navodya, Petronilda Biyanvila (Captain) and Ashini Navoda.
