Another IMF review mission expected in Dec:Cabraal

Another mission from the International Monetary Board (IMF) is due in December for a fuller review of Sri Lanka’s economic performance, according to Central Bank Governor Ajit Nivard Cabraal. He was responding to growing concern over the last IMF mission statement, after a visit last month, over the need for a more flexible exchange rate, and resulting in an unfinished review – which was unusual.

 
Deutsche Bank has no claim over Sri Lankan Government in oil hedging issue

In the backdrop of the country’s triumph in the Citibank oil hedging arbitration, Sri Lanka says there is no case in the Deutsche Bank oil hedging claim and believes it would also be annulled by the Singapore 3-member Tribunal on the grounds that the lawsuit was bad in law as the plaintiff has made its submissions misrepresenting facts, Attorney General’s Department sources said.
