Homagama Central record wins in U-15 cricket

Homagama Central recorded two convincing wins after qualifying for the second round in the inter-school Under-15 Division III cricket tournament which is in progress currently.

Top-order batsman Hasitha Karunaratne was in great form in both encounters where Homagama Central beat Nalanda College, Colombo convincingly by 199 runs and Malabe Model School by a thrilling 18 runs.

In the match against Nalanda, Tharindu Roshan top scored with 83 while Karunaratne and Randima Lakshan made brilliant 72 apiece to help Homagama Central post 324 for the loss of four wickets after batting first. Nalanda in reply were curtailed to 125. Karunaratne slammed a sparkling 111 in the match against Malabe Model School to help Homagama Central reach 243 for the loss of nine wickets after being put into bat first. Malabe Model School was restricted to 225 in reply.
