TT coaching camp for disabled soldiers today

Members of the I & D Table Tennis Academy will conduct a coaching camp for the disabled soldiers of the Gajaba Regiment of Saliyapura Camp in Anuradhapura today. I & D TT academy has structured this programme in support of the war heroes for upgrading their talents to achieve international titles. Indika Prasad, the chief coach of the I & D TT academy and a former national player along with another national cap Deepika Rodrigo and the coach for the disabled soldiers in the Gajaba Regiment, Chaminda Rodrigo will conduct the coaching camp which will be supported by leading senior players of the academy.

I & D TT academy has planned to join up some students of remote schools with fewer facilities in the area around Saliyapura with the aim of popularizing table tennis among the rural schools. Many disabled soldiers from the Saliyapura Camp with outstanding talent in table tennis have shown greater promise at tournaments conducted specially for them and this coaching camp is expected to further enhance their abilities.
