The popular Avurudu Pola organized by the Old Girls’ Association of Visakha Vidyalaya will take place once again this year on April 9,2011 at the school premises from 9.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
This years’ Avurudu Pola will a feature variety of trade stalls and there will be something of interest for every member of the family. There will be bargains in textiles, household linen, ready-made garments, handicrafts, food items, books and accessories such as costume jewellery, handbags, shoes etc. For the home, there will be bargains in foliage, ceramics and many more household items.
As for entertainment the Kiddies’ Corner, Games of Skill and House of Horrors will also be a part of the day’s festivities. In addition the traditional Avurudu Senakeli will be a major attraction at the event. All proceeds will be used for school development projects. |
