Red hot: Virgin Atlantic's cabin crew voted most attractive in the world

The sexy advertisement shows they are more than just your run-of-the-mill trolley dollies, with their tight red uniforms, long legs and perfect smiles. And it seems the world agrees as Virgin Atlantic's flight attendants have been voted the most attractive in a new survey of travellers.

Up in the air: Virgin Atlantic's flight attendants have been voted the most attractive in a new survey of travellers

In fact Virgin's 'red hotties' swept the board with a massive 53 percent of the vote with no other airline's cabin crew even coming a close second. The accolade has been attributed to their sexually charged global advertising campaign, which features Bond-style graphics, suggestive images, lots of attractive male and female crew and plenty of subtle innuendos.

Sir Richard Branson has always stressed the importance of the appearance of his crew believing it is vital for customers to have an enjoyable and memorable flight. On their cabin crew recruitment page it states: 'You'll be the face of the airline. As such, your grooming should always be immaculate -- even after a long, tiring flight.'

According to the survey of 1,000 people by the Business Travel and Meetings Show -- BTMS -- Singapore Airlines received only 18 percent of the vote at second place, despite repeatedly being named the best cabin crew in the world.
