Joint visa application centre for UK, Australia

Great Britain and Australia will be sharing the same visa application centre (VAC) which is housed in Access Towers, Union Place, Colombo 2, from Tuesday onwards.

The joint VAC in Colombo is one of the centres worldwide, set up according to the VAC sharing agreement between the two countries as Australia begins to collect biometric data from its visa applicants.

The British High Commission informs that this initiative will not change the way in which visa applicants should submit their visa applications and biometrics at the VAC.

The High Commission emphasized that the applicants’ biometric and personal data will not be shared as part of this initiative and the information of the visa applicants of both countries will be stored and processed separately.
